Benitez bites back at Fergie – the interview
Rafa Benitez’s premeditated rant against Man Utd and Ferguson yesterday had more than a hint of Kevin Keegan about it; but was Rafa right to take the bait from Fergie, and has he subsequently handed the spin-master Scot the upper hand in the run-in to the race for the Premier League?
Although Benitez was merely pointing out ‘FACTS’, was there any need for him to stoop to Ferguson’s level, or had he just given Fergie a taste of his own medicine. Let us know what you think by adding a comment below?

Was Benitez wise to buy into Fergie's irksome kidology?
It had seemed, that without Benitez’s comments, Ferguson had given his strongest indication yet, that ‘He’ considered Liverpool as a genuine threat to ‘His’ title, and in doing so, paid Benitez a huge compliment; however back-handed it may of been.
For all those who missed it, here it is again:

Benitez is dead right. Ferguson has had the run of the green for too long and about time someone spoke out against him. Well said Rafa.
Hmmm not sure if Rafa needed to rise to the bait but Feguson gets everything he deserves and Benitez has more than valid cause for complaint. The only thing is, this has played stright into the hands of Ferguson, who loves nothing better than a good old slag-off, especially if he thinks he can derail Liverpool’s title challenge with his well drilled mind games! Maybe it didnt need to be said and could possible only have negative consequences for his own team.
Hey couldn’t knock down the might Stoke City though could you Rafa! Just haven’t got the bottle to stay at the top have you? I saw the first half then ‘myp2p’ decided to crash on me but that was enough… I just don’t think you boys can handle the pressure to go all the way, COME ON MAN U.!!!
Are you a closet Man Utd supporter then Joey?
Despite his protests, I say deep down he is.
hi, really a very good post…..
